The following may sound ridiculous and may seem a little offensive. However, believe it or not, the things that we post are things our parents have said for over 20 years, and swear to be true since forever.
They are not only rules for everyday, but they are rules to live by.

*open exam results* A, A, D. (In A Levels, only do 3 subjects)
Me: OH MY GOD DON’T CRY DON’T CRY
Friends: What? Omg that’s so good well done!
Me: *stares at friends* I’M GOING TO GET SLAUGHTERED BY MY PARENTS
-get home-
Mum: *completely ignores the 2 A’s* WHY DID YOU GET A D? HOW DARE YOU GET D?!? I WAS RIGHT YOU PLAY TOO MANY GAMES ON COMPUTER MAYBE I SHOULD BAN YOU FROM LAPTOP NO MORE PLAYING
Me: But mum, 2 out of 3 of my subjects, the ones I got A’s in require my laptop + intern-
Mum: YOU DARE TALK BACK? *falls into despair* WHY DID I RAISE SUCH A BAD CHILD WHERE DID I GO WRONG. When you get back to school (we get results in the summer holidays) we are going to talk to your teacher about this and you will have extra lessons!
Me: What about my 2 As?! Why are you never satisfied?!
Mum: You are probably lying about those As… I can feel it. I will phone school and ask!
Later that day, I texted my Asian friend who got B, D, E, U (she does 4 subjects) and she got an ‘okay’ lecture from her parents cos’ she lied about the results. 2 days after, she texted me she’s in deep shiz cos’ her parents found out about her lying.
